Two Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary dog handlers are travelling to Paris this week, accompanied by their explosive search dogs, to help with the policing operation around the 2024 Paralympic Games.
PC Paul Shutler and PC Dan Attwood will be taking PD Arlo and PD Cody over to the event, along with many other handlers and search dogs from forces across the UK, to assist with making the venues safe for athletes and spectators.
PC Paul Shutler said it’s ‘an honour and a privilege to represent UK policing as part of this operation for one of the greatest sporting events in the world’.
“This summer myself and PC Attwood will be heading to Paris to assist with the policing operation for the Paralympic Games with our explosive search dogs Cody and Arlo.
“It will genuinely be an honour and a privilege to represent UK policing as part of this operation for one of the greatest sporting events in the world.
