Calling all dog lovers on the Isle of Wight! Is your furry friend the epitome of cuteness, a champion poser, or perhaps the messiest pup this side of the Solent?
Well, it’s time to unleash their inner star because IslandDog is launching its first-ever dog photo awards for a little bit of fun!
From the most adorable mutt to the sassiest showstopper, we’re celebrating the unique personalities and hilarious antics of the Isle of Wight’s canine companions.
So, grab your camera, capture your pup’s best moments, and get ready to show them off!
How to Enter:
Participation is as easy. Simply head over to the IslandDog’s Facebook page (facebook.com/islanddog) and from next week we will be publishing a series of posts on our wall. Post a photo of your dog in the category post you feel best represents your dogs wagg-tastic personality for your chance to win.
The Categories:
- Cutest Rescue: Does your rescue pooch melt hearts wherever they go? Share their adorable magic with us!
- Cutest Puppy: Those puppy-dog eyes and clumsy paws? We can’t resist! Show off your adorable little furball.
- The Biggest Poser: Does your dog strike a pose better than a supermodel? Capture their confident strut or goofy grin.
- The Best Dressed: Channel your inner canine fashionista! Share a picture of your pup sporting their finest threads or festive accessories.
- Top Gardener: Does your dog enjoy digging up your garden, pulling out plants, or just laying where they shouldn’t? Let’s see them in the act.
- Most Mischievous: Caught red-pawed with a mischievous twinkle in their eye? Share a picture of your dog’s playful rebellion.
- The Messiest Pup: Mud-caked paws and a tail wagging with post-play glee? Let’s see who the undisputed champion of mess is!
- The Funniest Face: Caught your dog mid-yawn, tongue lolling out in a goofy grin, or sporting the ultimate “derp” expression? Share the hilarious results!
The Prize:
Each category winner will receive a special, personalised IslandDog ID tag. Not only will it be a stylish accessory for your pup, but it will also be a physical reminder of their award-winning status!
Important Dates:
- Entry Period: The competition starts on Monday 14th October and closes on the Thursday 14th November.
- Voting: After the entry period closes, IslandDog staff will choose a winner in each category.
- Winners Announced: The winners for each category will be announced in the next Issue of IslandDog Magazine on 1st December. We will also announce the winners on our social media page, so make sure to follow IslandDogs on Facebook to see if your canine companion wins!
