In a heartwarming conclusion to a weeks-long ordeal, a lostdog named Kitty has been reunited with her overjoyed owners, Katie Lear-Thompson and Luke.

The dog had been missing for an extended period, sparking a community-wide search effort.

A dedicated team, including Suzzy Lee and Drone SAR For Lost Dogs IOW, played a pivotal role in the search. Rob and Rachel provided invaluable support to the owners, offering guidance and encouragement throughout the challenging process. Crucial to the operation were two top-of-the-range thermal live feed cameras purchased by P.E.P.A. Animal Charity.

Despite numerous near misses, including Kitty spending time in Katie’s garden, survival instincts repeatedly drove the scared dog away. The involvement of Kitty’s cat friend, Hazel, also proved unsuccessful in enticing her home.

The breakthrough came with the introduction of a new Missy trap by Graham, founder of Drone SAR For Lost Dogs UK. Just yesterday, Kitty was finally captured and returned to her relieved owners.

Katie Lear-Thompson endured sleepless nights and immense stress during the ordeal. Her unwavering determination, along with the support of the community, ultimately led to the happy reunion.

The successful rescue is a testament to the power of community spirit and the tireless efforts of those involved.
